Michelle Rhone

Ms. Michelle graduated from California State University East Bay, with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Development emphasizing in Childhood. She has 24 units in the Early Childhood Education. She has worked in the early childhood development field since 2011. She is dedicated to providing a safe environment for children to grow and flourish.  It is her passion to create a center where children can reach their full potential while learning through play. She enjoys running, water painting, and cycling on her free time. She is the proud mother of her fur baby Benji. Ms. Michelle inspires to write children’s books and become an Early Childhood Professor.



Margaret Neagu

Margaret has been an early childhood educator since 1990. She believes the purpose of education is to engage all students intellectually, ethically, physically and socially in the pursuit of knowledge. Margaret believes her job is to facilitate the pursuit of learning by creating and maintaining a safe learning environment in which risk taking is encouraged, problem solving is developed and successes are celebrated. It is her passion to help students reach their full potential. She achieves this through differentiated instruction, scaffold learning and building upon prior knowledge to encourage each student's success and enthusiasm for learning. Margaret holds a BA in Liberal Studies and 24 Early Childhood Units. Margaret is fluent in Spanish and is our head Spanish instructor. She has been married since 1982 and has two adult children.en.



Kim Kowatch

Kim has been with us since 1983. She has 46 units in the Early Childhood field. Her philosophy is to ensure that the classroom is welcoming and that the children in her care feel safe and loved. Kim believes that children learn best when the material presented is developmentally appropriate and meets the child's specific needs. She is constantly building on the knowledge and skills that students bring to the classroom and partners with parents in the education process. Her goal is to build self-esteem and allow each child to be as independent as they can be. 



TayloR Petty

Ms. Taylor has been working with children since 2007. She has worked with many different age groups ranging from infants to teenagers. She is currently finishing up school at Cal State Eastbay, to get her degree in Human Development. She grew up in Pleasanton and is the oldest of 3. She loves to do art, and plan activities for the kids and is very passionate about kids with different learning abilities and trying to find the most effective way of helping individuals learn. Some of her hobbies are gardening, art, sailing, and hiking. She is also a huge fan of animals. She strives to help every child be the best they can be. She is a very loving, high energy, and fun person.


Emily Gallagher

Emily Gallagher has been working with young children for over ten years and has been a Preschool Teacher for the past four years. Emily loves the curiosity of children and really enjoys identifying a child’s interests and incorporating those interests in the curriculum.  Emily earned a Certificate in Early Childhood Development from Las Positas College and continues to educate herself in learning how she can best love, serve and educate young children.  Two things Emily really enjoys sharing with the children are Art and Music. She also enjoys sharing the love of Jesus.  Her hobbies are cooking, baking, singing and of course shopping.  Emily grew up in Pleasanton and is the oldest of four siblings.


Ramola John Franco

My name is Ramola John Franco. I believe early childhood education and educators plays a vital role in the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of young children. I am so proud to be a part of it. My passion towards the art of teaching and working with young children motivated me to acquire my early childhood credentials. I have 12 units in the Early Childhood field and have been working in this field since 2016. I have a bachelor’s degree in computer science. I have lived in bay area for the last 15 years with my husband and two children. My other passion is dance. I am a trained Indian classical dancer. 


Dianne Starr

My name is Dianne Starr, I have been working with children for over 20 years. My passion is working with 2’s and 3’s years old. I believe 2-year-old teachers are not made they are born. I love being with children. When I’m not teaching at Adventures in Learning I am helping with Rainbows, the preschool program at my home church and Sunday school in Santa Cruz. I love making balloon animal for the kids or doing the mutt strut fundraising walk, which buys backpacks for low income families. My hobbies are playing with my dogs, the drums, singing at my churches program, and doing jitsu.



Bridget Navarro

Ms. Bridget is a student at Brandman University working towards her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. She completed her general education and is continuing ECE classes in spring. While learning in school, she also enjoys doing her own research and studying to improve her skills in the classroom. She has worked with children from ages 2-6 years old since 2013. She is passionate about making sure that a safe environment is provided for children so they can learn and have fun. With a creative side, Ms. Bridget has fun activities for children to do including crafts, dancing and games. She has a dog and a bird that she loves very much. On her free time, she enjoys visiting art museums, working on her own art, reading, music, and dog videos! 


Ms. Sarah Carter

Ms.Sarah loves working with all ages of children. Along with teaching preschoolers she leads a Bible study of high school girls through her church. She has an amazing daughter and she has her Master’s Degree in clinical counseling with an emphasis in childhood and adolescent disorders. Her passion is for children to feel safe, loved, and competent throughout life, and that starts at this young, impressionable age in preschool. When she has free time, she heads to the mountains to snowboard or go hike around the Bay Area.


Virginia Mendiola

Virginia Mendiola loves teaching preschoolers. Her passion began when she taught a class in Germany. It inspired her to take a Child Development courses. From there, she obtained her Associate Teacher Permit. She has been teaching in the Early Childhood field since 1989. She is married to her husband Victor Mendiola. She and her husband Victor has 4 children. in her free time, she enjoys spending time with her 4 grandchildren.



Emile Wallace

Emile Wallace is the Adventure Club Program Coordinator. She has been passionate about caring for children for over 25 years. Her favorite lesson to teach is that every child is valuable and precious to God. She is qualified with 35 units in the Early Childhood Field. She is a proud mother of two girls.
